The Project: 

American Airlines needed an inspiring and cinematic opening video for CEO Robert Isom’s keynote at the IATA World Sustainability Symposium. The goal was to set the stage for a bold conversation around the airline’s sustainability commitments, including Net Zero by 2050, SAF adoption, and contrails research. The video had to strike a balance between highlighting real progress and energizing the audience with a “moonshot” vision of what’s possible.

Showcase Commitment: Highlight the company's commitment to innovation in sustainability for aviation, investments in green hydrogen technology and our contrails test.

The Process:

For this project with American Airlines, our team led the creative execution from concept to delivery. Building from the initial “Moonshot” concept and creative brief, we developed the script and narrative to align seamlessly with Robert Isom’s keynote while inspiring the audience with American’s bold sustainability goals. To bring the vision to life, we curated a wide range of visuals—sourcing archived and historical footage, managing licensing, incorporating provided marketing assets, and selecting stock imagery to fill narrative gaps. In post-production, we layered cinematic editing with impactful graphics and designed a dynamic soundscape that combined inspirational music with voiceover to drive momentum. The result was an anthem video that set the stage for the IATA World Sustainability Symposium, showcasing American’s leadership in innovation and commitment to a sustainable future in aviation.

The Result:

The final anthem video debuted as the opening to American Airlines’ keynote at the IATA World Sustainability Symposium. It captured attention immediately, energized the audience, and framed the company’s sustainability initiatives as both ambitious and achievable. By blending historical achievements, present-day milestones, and future possibilities, the video positioned American as a pioneer in aviation’s path toward decarbonization. The collaboration delivered not only a powerful piece of storytelling, but also a lasting asset that American can leverage for future sustainability-focused events.
