The Project:

The Make History campaign was designed to encourage 2024 voter turnout in Dallas County. The campaign involved shooting three commercials in a single day across multiple locations, filming voters as they ran to the polls. The objective was to create a visual narrative that inspired and motivated residents to exercise their right to vote.

The Process:

The Make History campaign production began at 5 am in Cedar Hill, where we focused on capturing sunrise running scenes. To achieve smooth and consistent footage, we utilized a steadicam and a RickShaw dolly setup, requiring careful blocking for each take. After filming the running scenes, we moved to a local park for a demonstration scene, featuring the principal talent leading a group of extras, encouraging others to run to the polls. We set up base camp in a parking lot, where talent holding and craft services were set up under canopy tents. The Cedar Hill Recreation Center was the last location, which we transformed into a mock voting center by adding props like flags and voter signs.

The Result:

The Make History campaign successfully captured the spirit of voter participation, and we produced 14 videos tailored for various platforms, showcasing the importance of community involvement in the electoral process.
